EtsyRAIN Holiday Show recap-

As previously mentioned in my last post- this weekend was the EtsyRAIN Holiday Show.

This group (which I've actually only joined a few months ago) had put on smaller shows previously but this was their first big show. Its basically a group of local Etsy sellers who joined forces to be a kinda of support group for each other.

Both days people lined up before the show for free swag bags

People like the free swag.

The venue was the Intiman Theater near the Seattle Center. Neat venue vendors were split on both floors- that sounds kinda weird but it was a nice open space. See-

There was some new to me vendors that I had heard of or met before which is awesome. This company Two Bird Studios (I can't find her link right now...) was my favourite new find.

She had some really cute felt ornaments that were 100% adorable.

I had my regular basic display & spread. When I do new shows (shows that are just starting up) I just go with what I know & what I am comfortable with and add or "delete" anything as the day progressed.
Me again

It was pretty fun & with 4 exceptions all of the vendors I had never done a show with or had met before so it was really fresh. I will admit it seemed a bit jewelry heavy- but I don't know if that it is a bad thing because it seemed like everyone was getting a lot of action regardless. I only mention this because of years of participating in craft shows & organizing them as well jewelry vendors seem to be in competition to fill a select amount of spots for that category.

Definitely check out EtsyRAIN's future shows! They run a tight ship :)

It was curated by QNefertari.

I'm still a bit tired from last night - We got home at 3am after the crazy fun of New Moon- if you're curious about it - just go see it. It was better than Twilight. I took some pictures on my phone that I have to load yet and I'll post those on my Flickr when I'm more functioning. :)

Happy Friday everyone!!!

New Moon Midnight Premiere

Tonight I am taking my daughter & a handful of her friends to the midnight premiere (which we purchased tickets for months ago...) of New Moon.
Yes its a school night.
Yes they have to go to school tomorrow.
Yes I'm probably insane for doing this.

They are all so in to the story/books its really cute.

I made them each a little trinket to show support for Team Jacob:

Somewhat related- today is "perfect" NW weather. Gray, gloomy, cloudy & raining. Which calls for the standard issued NW Wear:

Flannel, jeans & rain boots. I've had an outfit that resembles this one my entire life. When I was younger I wore one of my infamous red beanie with a big black stripe around it. It clashed with everything.

Good stuff. Happy Thursday & to those who are going to see New Moon too I hope you don't sit next to the super talkative teenager :)

Tutorial -Button Bouquet

This is a bouquet of buttons that I made for Ben Franklin Crafts.
Its an easy peasy project for future brides or this would make a great holiday topiary style display.

Check it out!

Early birthday

Since I'll be at craft shows for the next few weekends. My son who is turning 13 soon had his birthday party a bit early. We had a little go cart action:

Good times-

We also had another birthday party in the family this weekend. A cousin of ours celebrated his 18th birthday.

With all that party/family action I'm a little behind on work/orders -apologies on that.

Back to work- busy-busy-busy!
